Hi Maha
I Twittered your question and had these replies from my personal learning network:
- Connect them with email to relatives. This is a safe, secure place to learn.
- that they know what is safe to disclose online and what isn't! Parents need to trust children and children need to explore!
- obviously depending on age I would recommend they wait until their friends are on something and let them explore but make sure
- The first step is establishing trust & ground rules. Talk. Find out what kids already know (it might surprise you).
- treat the www as any person you meet for the first time. With caution, use other ppl's impressions and trust your instincts
- Teach them internet safety first.
- http://www.webkinz.com/ They are probably already using it!
- I would make a blog and do it with the child http://claudialynn.blogspot...
- maybe email and blogs?
- Get familiar with it yourself first!

I hope this helps... also http://clubpenguin.com is a good start online
